FAQ’S

  • Very good question. I am an organiser and a connector. I get a lot of joy from helping people feel relaxed and supported.

I worked in the TV industry for 8 years in a role that was about 50% Event planning and organizing, and 50% connecting with people.

I would often have people going in front of a TV Broadcast camera for the first time, sweating bullets…I would be there with a cuppa in hand to give them, ask them about their cat, telling them that they should get under studio lights more often because they are positively glowing… Just know that when you book me, I got you.

  • I am relaxed, professional and just a tad cheeky… I won’t say that I am funny, because if someone says they are funny, I get the ick. When I hear “I am funny”, I am scared that person is going to try out their comedy routine on me whether I like it or not… It feels like a warning…Is it just me who feels like this?

That said… Let’s just say I am quick on my feet… In terms of wit… If the situation calls for it…Not funny. A bit funny.

  • This is the first form we complete together. A Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) is a mandatory legal document in Australia used to notify a celebrant and the government of a couple’s intent to marry. It must be signed and witnessed, then lodged with an authorised celebrant at least one month (and up to 18 months) before the ceremony.

  • Believe it or not, a celebrant is often one of the last things some couples book in… I know. How crazy!

This is the person who is going to be standing with you and your partner on your big day, telling YOUR story that THEY have helped you put in writing… If you ask me, that feels like something I would want to get right!

As soon as you have locked in a date, book a celebrant. There are lots of celebrants around, but the goodies get booked up quick! So if you find someone great, lock them in!

Just one totally unbiased girl’s opinion…

  • I absolutely can! I have a document to help give you lots of prompts, some examples and some ideas on how to format them.

I can also read them for you, give you feedback on flow and make sure both your vows are similar in length…It is a real fizzer when one person writes 10 pages and the other has one or two sentences.

    I got you boo.

  • A co-pilot wedding ceremony allows a friend or family member to act as your unofficial wedding celebrant /ceremony MC, and yes I offer this service.

To make things official, you still need a registered wedding celebrant to do the legal bits, which can be done on the day as part of your ceremony, or sometime before you have your wedding celebration. Everyone is different so it just depends on what you want.

It is very important to remember that celebrants do a lot more than just read a script. There is a lot of prior organising, arranging, timings, positioning and a whole range of other things that a celebrant will do on the day.

So If this is something you are keen on, let’s have a chat about what you need first and take it from there!

  • YES! As long as we are legally allowed on the premises… I’m not scaling a barbed wire fence. Not in heels anyway!

If you’re not at a venue or private property, you may just need to check if you need a permit. Usually if theres no gear and a small group, you can get married wherever you like!

  • If I am doing your ceremony in a package that does not include my PA system, You can hire it for an additional $150 for the duration of your ceremony. You can easily connect it to your phone via bluetooth for music or voice recordings.

I have a Bose S1 Pro PA Speaker and 2 Wireless Behringer microphones.

  • At the end of your ceremony, I will provide you with your certificate of marriage, which will be signed by yourselves, your 2 witnesses and yours truly.

This certificate is just a commemorative only.

For an additional $80 fee, I can apply for your legal marriage certificate on your behalf when I submit the marriage documentation after your wedding.

Alternatively, you can wait until your marriage is registered and do it yourself through BDM by filling out some forms and paying a fee.

  • Absolutely!

I service the Bellarine, Surf coast, Geelong, Melbourne and beyond!

There may be additional fees for travel and accommodation if it’s super far from me, but I love an adventure!
